oooooh-ber.

Living on the distant plains means that getting to the airport for any long trip requires a 100 dollar cab. Uber has not made its way yet to Pauatahanui - though it's not for lack of requesting on our part. Twenty minutes late, after no less than 4 phone calls - and with a filthy car - Porirua Taxis inched up the drive. Wei had obviously only just got up and his GHD was clearly on the blink. The general vibe of the interior brought on all my allergies to things like - dirt, dust, strange oily stains and fingermarks on the window. And then we had a really bad moment as Nigel thought he'd found a flea on his sock - luckily it turned out to be a bit of fluff - though who's bit of fluff - we're still not clear about. As we approached the magnificence of Wellington city - I said to Nigel, why are the windows like this? He shook his head, pursed his lips and looked away. Persisting, I asked again - why are the windows like this? He took a covert look at the driver and then without making a sound - silently annunciated the word - "Gleasy".
